First post of 2008

Isn't that just a lovely sky? God is so amazing. After snapping that photo I stood in awe.

To think, the God that created that awesome sunset, created me. And cares for me!

Lately I've found out that parchment paper and baking soda are two things that are a must have in a kitchen! The parchment paper helps things not stick in the pan and if you make biscuits, cookies etc.. and put parchment paper underneath, all you have to do is put it back in where it goes because the pan doesn't get dirty! And baking soda is awesome because it can be used for almost anything! Brush your teeth with it, use it as shampoo or soap, natural cleaning aid, and many other things!

Mama found a recipe on the internet for Shoestring Potatoes. They are so easy and delicious!

What you need is:

1 potato per person plus an extra
Olive oil
Seasoned Salt (no msg)
Onion Powder (opinional)
*Note: you can add other seasonings if you want.

Preheat oven to 400°F . Wash potatoes well. Cut in half length-wise. Cut each half length-wise 3 or 4 times. Turn each piece over flat and cut into thirds if possible. If your potato is small you probably can only cut it once. In a bowl mix the olive oil, seasoned salt and wahtever else you want to add. † Cover a pan with parchment paper and place the potatoes in it. Cook for 30 minutes or until done. :-)

†I just use my judgement when adding the olive oil and seasoned salt.

Hello Jami!
It's nice to finally hear from someone! It's been months (really) since I've gotten a comment from anyone! :) That picture is pretty. And those ptotatoes sound good too! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Nobody's been visiting so I didn't bother posting LOL. ;) Hope you can come by and visit me again soon!
Blessings,
Jessica
